A Kids Book About Safety

As a mother of three small children, I know how difficult it can be to have hard conversations about topics you aren’t very familiar with. As a certified emergency manager, I was constantly being asked to talk to parents and children on what to do during emergencies, how to prepare, and how to talk about it in a way that would not scare their children. But more importantly, my own children were asking the same hard questions, which led me to write the book, A Kids Book About Safety. The book guides parents and children through thoughtful conversations around different types of emergencies, how to prepare for them, and how children have an important role in that process.
